  1. Penny, came to your site via Mando’s. Your photographs are beautiful. I’m interested in what you call “The Tejano Project.” Is that ongoing or a one-time project for a specific assignment?

Interested in the project because 1.) I’m actually Monica Maldonado from San Antonio (Williams is married name), 2) I love photography and 3.) I have a magazine and am always looking for story ideas. (See link)

One of my best friends is a photographer in NYC, has shot for Tx Mo, W, Newseek, more. I’m sending her a link to your blog because I think she should start one, too. She’s bethperkins.com

    Cheers!

  2. Thanks for checking it out. I’m happy to talk about my Tejano Project. It was something I worked on for National Geographic. Send me an email and we can discuss.

  3. P,
Great meeting you tonight at the blogfest at Parkside. Look forward to checking all your pictorials out. See you around the best city in the US-maybe Eeyore’s.
    Cheers!

  7. Penny …I never comment on blogs because I don’t find time. Spend more time baking but the brain tends to click and save those images. But I have to write today, I find the food culture so different in India while I did my education in US, every picture I see of yours I feel I relate to it and to India. It has a story to tell. The food looks yummy; I mean which picture isn’t good. I am sure you have heard this compliment over and over. But you not only make the eyes hungry but also make the food even more worth eating. Such amazing work…you inspire me! You have a big fan in Delhi, India!

  14. Hello Penny,

I just want to introduce myself and to tell you I really love your work. I have a new radio show that just started on Armadafm.com called 1 Hour Photo. It is a show about our industry and how we as photographers can give back and share. It’s a live show every Wednesday at 1pm eastern. I currently had fashion photographer Melissa Rodwell and the guys from F Stoppers Lee and Patrick. I would love to have you on a future episode if all possible. If interested feel free to contact me.

I came across your blog looking for a recipe for savory oatmeal, which I adore! I saw your name on the bottom of the photo and it sounded familiar to me, you and I attended the same high school. I am incredibly proud of you!
